I am delighted to have taken over as Chief Executive Officer at Salford Loaves and Fishes. It is an honour to be leading such a fantastic charity that achieves excellent outcomes with homeless and vulnerable people. I have worked in the homeless sector for around 20 years and I passionately believe that every individual should be given the best possible opportunities and services in order to address homelessness and other forms of poverty. I look forward to the future and taking the organisation forward in an ever changing world.

Due to having received an unprecedented amount of clothing donations in recent months, we have had to take the decision that at this time we are no longer asking for donations of clothing or bedding until further notice. We continue to have a huge demand for food items such as tinned meat, fish, vegetables, beans, soup etc, rice, pasta, cereal, tea and coffee. Toiletries are also still very welcome. If you would like to make a financial donation to the charity please click on the 'donate now' button. Thank you for your continued support at this time.

Hi folks We have a brilliant new COVID Canopy in our garden area which we are now using as our meeting space for clients whilst we can’t meet inside the building. We are increasingly working with our clients outside the building so we needed to adjust quickly to this new way of working. With this new addition to the centre we can meet clients who won’t have to worry about the effects of bad weather or noise from the busy road next to us while they are talking with our support team. We worked with Simon Harrison from Aquila Shelters who was brilliant in advising us on the best option of canopy for our needs. His team did a brilliant job of the groundwork and installation which meant we were up and running in three days. Stay tuned for more updates soon. Simon Locke Chief Executive Officer
