Corporate Social Responsibility

Many companies operate with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as an intrinisic part of their business. It can be rewarding and enjoyable to be involved with a charity and it is a great feeling for your employees knowing what their company is giving to help to where it is needed.

At Salford Loaves and Fishes, we are involved with company's CSR programme in a number of ways and there are a number of ways to get involved - in addition to direct donations and funding of our vital work in caring for the homeless and vulnerable. Especially at this time we are getting new demands on our services each day. People and families that were previously on the borderline of poverty now find themselves in a position where they need our help for food and support to access the support services they now need.

Helping with the things we need

Top of the list is always food. It's needed every single day that our Drop In Centre is open so it is great to be supported by Supermarkets, Restaurants and Food Producers which is at the core of our daily food supply. Your company and its employees can also help by collecting other constantly needed items such as toiletries and clothing.

Volunteering

In normal times, volunteers are a vital help of the day to day life at Drop-In Centre. At the moment, because of Covid-19, we are having to operate without that kind of help on site. But there are other ways that your employees can volunteer. Perhaps your company has people with video and media skills that could help put together short videos for our social media; help with fundraising activities such as organising sponsored sports activities.

Donations and Regular Funding

Salford Loaves and Fishes depends entirely on funding to pay for our incredible support workers. Covid-19 has meant we need to spend and continue to spend money on PPE and specially designed fixtures to protect our staff and those that use our Drop In Centre. We also have specific projects and capital items that you could sponsor. We are in need of a new vehicle to enable the logistics that support our work.

Collection Box

We are looking for local businesses and organisations to place one of our Salford Loaves and Fishes collection boxes. All funds raised will be spent on providing services to vulnerable people in Salford. Please get in touch if you can support us by placing a collection box.
